Award Criteria and Deadlines

Women of the Year Award nominees are active in the technology industry in a business, leadership or scientific role.  They reside in Georgia and are associated with a company or organization that is headquartered or affiliated in Georgia.  Applications are reviewed by a selection committee comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds.  Award recipients are selected by a panel of distinguished, nationally recognized judges who evaluate nominees on the following criteria:

  • Role in the organization
  • Impact on the organization's mission
  • Involvement in initiatives and organizations outside the workplace
  • Impact of involvement in external activities or organizations
  • Demonstrated leadership within and outside the organization
  • Demonstrated involvement in fostering the advancement of women in technology

At WIT's monthly breakfast meeting October 8th, 2008, join us for a lively discussion by a panel of WIT's Women of the Year in Technology Winners.  This was one of our most popular meetings last year and our 2008 panel is sure to be just as entertaining and inspriational. You don't want to miss it!

 

2008 Award Categories:

Nominees must hold a leadership role, including budgetary responsibility, in a technology organization or hold a technology or scientific role in a non-technology entity, and have held that role for a minimum of one (1) year, in order to qualify.

  • Emerging/Small Organization - those with up to 100 employees

  • Mid-Market/Medium Organization - those with 101-1000 employees

  • Enterprise Organization - those with over 1000 employees
